Based on the versatile ROCKY military computer

AMREL designs Customizable COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) solutions based on the ROCKY line of rugged mobile computer products. Through the Customizable COTS design, ROCKY computers can be adapted to fit military specific requirements. The rugged notebook, rugged PDA, and rugged tablet are each built with flexible technology that allows for modification and/or customization, often with little or no NRE costs.

The ROCKY line of rugged computers can be integrated into military application specific solutions such as aircraft targeting systems and mine detection. The rugged notebooks, rugged tablets, and rugged PDAs can also be configured to work compatibly with a variety of software and hardware components.

The ROCKY rack mounted System Integration Platform is a prime example of one of the many unique solutions developed by AMREL. The platform can be factory configured to meet military situations requiring a mobile, field-deployable, computer-based rack mounted solution. Another small but important customization to ROCKY military computers was the addition of rugged military connectors. Once just an option, this added protection now comes standard on the rugged tablets and ROCKY rugged notebooks.
