As the chart from International Data Corp (IDC) demonstrates, the first quarter of 2013 reported a 14% drop in PC shipments, falling below 80 million units for the first time since 2009. This is the worst quarterly report since IDC began tracking PC shipments in 1994.
Even for vehicles that meant to be primarily manned, the similarities with unmanned systems – especially on subsystem and security levels – are growing. Cars are the new Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV).
